Those 3 out on the lake must be having a fabulous time rowing in the lake :)

What good contrast! The calmness of the lake vs. the bustling sky scrappers. :)

I've been to NYC, but somehow missed Central Park the times I was there. Is this shot pre-9/11? 'Cause those sure look like the twin towers on the left.
Great catch!

One wonders how such tranquility can continue to exist in the busiest of the five boroughs. Except you can't forget the city life with those high rises flanking the pond...

Still, a getaway is a getaway!

Wow. That is one nice photo! I like it and I want to be there. Then after boating I'd go and get a great Pastrami on rye....

I would love to see cental park, but out side of actually going there, this is a GREAT way to see the lake. Marvelous, and serene shot! I agree that is the Money shot!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Some one asked if this was pre-9/11. I took this on Saturday when my wife and I visited NYC.

How peaceful it looks. Hard to believe it's in the heart of such a big bustly city. Hope you've had a good WW.

Reminds me of Autumn's long ago when I use to walk through central park and ruminate on the reds and golds. BTW My chrysanthemum seedlings are coming along. I will be posting some new photos of them soon as they are about a foot high now.
