I have decided to join the blogging craze. I am looking forward to taking a moment to find out a little more about the plants I have been photographing. I hope to explore all aspects of plants, flowers, trees and other garden related topics. Sorry about having to watermark the photos but there are a lot of people using them without permission.

Yellow Dahlia
Yellow Dahlia
I am not sure which of the ten’s of thousands of Dahlias this one is since it came in the mix. It did well and flowered all summer. I am off to Massachusetts today to put Karen’s brother to rest. We are going to have a big party afterwards and that is the way Dale would have wanted it. He wouldn’t have liked a lot of people moping around about him, no matter I am still going to be very sad.

Have a nice weekend despite what you have to go and do.
I'll have to try dahlia's when I have my own yard one day.
Beautiful
Nice phto and sorry for your loss.
This one is lovely. I have about five pots of dahlia's and hope they come up again next year.

thanks everyone, it has been a bit of a rough ride lately but I have been fiding some comfort here and in other areas of my life.
misti, I would recommend trying some dahlias when you have the chance I especially love the Dinnerplate and Cactus types.
Hi Princess, nice to hear from you. You can probably overwinter Dahlias were you live. Here in Connecticut they have to be dug up and taken inside. A lot of times the tubers dry out on me and I have to start over.
I love the curved petals of this dahlia. This is yet another one of the plants that I deeply need to try.
