I have decided to join the blogging craze. I am looking forward to taking a moment to find out a little more about the plants I have been photographing. I hope to explore all aspects of plants, flowers, trees and other garden related topics. Sorry about having to watermark the photos but there are a lot of people using them without permission.

Mystery Day Dahlia
Dinnerplate Dahlia Dahlia 'Mystery Day' (DAHL-ya) Year of Introduction: 1994
You always end up making run of the mill temperate plants look so exotic! Well, I guess that isn't technically a temperate plant... and it is an exotic looking cultivar... well you know what I mean! Great work!

Whoa! Stunning colors.
Aww how lovely and I like the gradient color of white, pink and fuschia!
Stunning -- so beautiful. I love dahlias.
Love these colors - if a flower could be described as "enigmatic", then that is what the dahlia is.
I like the contrast of the white tips to the dark purple, and the radial shape of the Dahlia.
