I am looking forward to growing this one as it has won numerous international rose awards. It has a lot of delicate undertones. Here is another rose. It is the David Austin Rose ‘Graham Thomas’ which I featured in it’s own post here.

I am going out to get some pictures today.

I grew Graham Thomas a couple of houses ago, and it's still one of my favorite roses - I hope you enjoy taking care of the rose garden, Chris, and that many of them are fragrant, so you have a sweet job!

Hi misti, I agree that color is super.

Annie, I am going to love to grow a lot of roses in one place instead of what I do now (several small gardens in different locations). It's going to be a challenge as I like the roses to be a little more separate for air circulation. I am sure I will taking a lot of pictures.

Nice pictures of roses. Do you always shoot face on?

Pretty much, Abe. I guess I am a straight shooter.

G'day DFPix,

I grow roses as well, althought the Australian drought has been savage the past few years.

What camera are you using - and what lens? The dahlia pic is spectacular.

Cheers

David

david, hi again. For 90% of my pictures I use a Nikon D70s w/60mm Micro-Nikkor lens. I have a couple of mid-level Sigma lens (17-70mm, 28-200mm) also. I occasionally use my wife's D80 w/18-135mm lens. For Point and shoot I have a Nikon Coolpix 8400 .

Too bad about the drought, I have been reading about it. Although the winters can be harsh here in Connecticut it usually rains and snows a lot. We get about 45 inches (114 cm) a year.

My photography is actually being featured in an Australian on-line magazine here:
