Two More Cymbidium Orchids
Asian Corsage Orchid
Cymbidium Rosita ‘Easter Pink’
(sim-BID-ee-um)
Couple more shots from the 2008 New York Orchid Show at the NYBG in The Bronx. One thing I like about the Cymbidium Orchids is the bloom with these great clusters of flowers. Another thing is the wonderful colors they come in. Some are subtle and others are bold.
A lot of people visited Digital Flower Pictures.com yesterday and I want to thank everyone for stopping by to take a look at the pictures. I visited a lot of blogs yesterday too and I hope I can catch up with some of the rest of you later in the week. Since I have started full-time work I have been very tired at night. It always takes a couple of weeks to get back into the swing of things at the start of the season. It feels great to be outside and doing what I was meant to do.
I made Post of the Day at David McMahon’s Author Blog. David is a fabulous photographer and a brilliant writer. Definitely exciting for me to be recognized by someone I look up to. Post of the Day was for yesterday’s G is for Green post.
Cymbidium Lady Fire 'Red Angel'
This is another Asian Corsage Orchid from the show. You really couldn’t ignore this bunch of flowers (much larger than this picture) ruby red color. It was outstanding and only partially captured here.

Well done !

Thanks for posting all the orchid photos Chris. The Cymbidiums have interestingly patterned colorful flowers but we've resisted buying them because of the large size and temperature requirement - if I remember correctly night time temps in the 50s and 70s during the day. Great photos as usual.
Breathtaking photos. Thank you!
Beautiful colors and patterns on these orchids. I never get tired of seeing pictures of these gorgeous flowers.
What beautiful orchids!
Wow, what gorgeous orchids.
An artful shoot capturing the essence of orchids, Chris.
Nice pictures. We don't have any flowers blooming here yet...too cold still. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I could and have looked at flowers all day !!!
Well thanks everyone.
ki, I didn't know that about these Orchids. I guess they are nicer to look at when someone else is growing them.
joey, thanks for stopping by and the continued support. I can't tell you how nice it is to see your smiling avatar and read the nice things that you write.
