I have decided to join the blogging craze. I am looking forward to taking a moment to find out a little more about the plants I have been photographing. I hope to explore all aspects of plants, flowers, trees and other garden related topics. Sorry about having to watermark the photos but there are a lot of people using them without permission.

Hybrid Rugosa Rose
Hybrid Rugosa Rose Rosa 'Topaz Jewel' (RO-zuh) Synonyms: MORyelrug, Yellow Fru Dagmar, Rustica 91
Rugosas are great! Wish you could share their fragrance via the internet as well....sort of a smell-o-vision computer-wise. I will have to look for this one, I only had the Hansa, Pink Grootendorst, and ssp. in my Virginia garden. They were great in VA because they are salt tolerant.

I've always loved yellow roses.

As always, stellar images, Chris.
Great photo. Isn't is interesting that some roses have a streak in them? You captured this one well.
