I have decided to join the blogging craze. I am looking forward to taking a moment to find out a little more about the plants I have been photographing. I hope to explore all aspects of plants, flowers, trees and other garden related topics. Sorry about having to watermark the photos but there are a lot of people using them without permission.

Hi!Number one at WW-Tuesday edition, huh!I so would love to have a cactus flower. Thanks for sharing.
Happy WW a few hours early. I love flower photography, too. There is a course on fine art flower photography I'm waiting to take. Very nice shot. What lens did you use?
Thanks a lot everyone. For the people that asked why their Cactus doesn't bloom it could be a couple of different reasons. One is it takes some species many years before they bloom. Some also need their day period shortened a little to 'feel' like it is time to bloom and also it may not be getting strong enough light. I would have to know the specific details to know for sure why it isn't blooming.
