I have decided to join the blogging craze. I am looking forward to taking a moment to find out a little more about the plants I have been photographing. I hope to explore all aspects of plants, flowers, trees and other garden related topics. Sorry about having to watermark the photos but there are a lot of people using them without permission.

Rose Periwinkle
Rose Periwinkle Catharanthus roseus (kat-uh-RANTH-us) (RO-zee-us) Synonyms: Vinca, Cayenne Jasmine, Madagascar Periwinkle, Old Maid
As always, lovely work. One more beautiful than the last, and so informative. When you were in Sonoma County, did you visit Luther Burbank's home and gardens? He is a native son to Santa Rosa, I believe. He felt that the climate there was the best on the planet, and I think I agree.
Thanks everyone for the comments. Sara, hi, I didn't get the Burbank garden when I visited Sonoma. We did go to Quarryhill Botanical Gardens which has a collection of Asian plants. It was beautiful and I would recommend it.
