I have decided to join the blogging craze. I am looking forward to taking a moment to find out a little more about the plants I have been photographing. I hope to explore all aspects of plants, flowers, trees and other garden related topics. Sorry about having to watermark the photos but there are a lot of people using them without permission.

Red Seedling Daylily
Red Seedling Daylily
Hemerocallis
(hem-er-oh-KAL-iss)
Quite happy to have this one show up in e box of seedlings I bought this spring.
For Ruby Tuesday since it kind of Mary’s neighborhood. Rapid Mon and Jockey N. Terracciano in the 4th Race at Belmont Park Queens, New York. Track was fun. Loved they had no apparent photographic restrictions. After ‘my’ horses finished last in three races in a row it was time to go.
Work of the Poet/ Ruby Tuesday
Number 9 (Call Tiger) finishes 8th, only because there was only 8 horses.

The day lily is gorgeous. Nice of that jockey to dress up in ruby red for you. Looks like a fun day!
I love that variety of day lily. Unfortunately our home is a darker brick and they don't show very well against that backdrop. So we stay with the yellow ones. Love the photo though.
It's beautiful lili, if I'm there I would cheer on the horse racing...it's fun.
the day lily is fantastic. I love horse racing a lot and get way to excited when I go
Been a long time since I have been to a horse race. We live near a track. Must go sometime.
My Ruby Link for you
Great shot of the horses!
That lily is gorgeous! Such a beautiful palette of red...
And those horses- you've captured the moment, the action and the mood with this one.
what a gorgeous shade of red! A perfect petal.
The lily is absolutely gorgeous so rich in color. I suppose if everyone could pick a winner every time there'd be no fun in racing. Better luck next time.
Lovely lily. Such a crisp shot.
Actually I like the shot of he white flowers just below this entry. IT has a surreal quality to it that is very alluring.
Beautiful lily. They were blooming in my garden in early July.
