I have decided to join the blogging craze. I am looking forward to taking a moment to find out a little more about the plants I have been photographing. I hope to explore all aspects of plants, flowers, trees and other garden related topics. Sorry about having to watermark the photos but there are a lot of people using them without permission.

Japanese Stewartia
Japanese Stewartia Stewartia pseudocamellia (stew-ART-ee-uh) (soo-doh-kuh-MEE-lee-uh) Synonyms: Stewartia koreana
This flower is new to me - it's a little like a Romneya coulterii but more ornate - it's utterly gorgeous and beautifully photographed. Now I shall go and see if it grows in the UK ...

Ooh another beaut!
I've never seen this flower before--gorgeous. I like the ruffly white petals.
what a gorgeous yet delicate looking flower.
Stunning in its simplicity.
the petals look really fragile - like tissue paper.
It looks so 'feathery'... A stunning pic!
Mine is up as well at AussiePomm, have a great WW!!

Nice detail. The flower looks so soft, even fuzzy.
