I have decided to join the blogging craze. I am looking forward to taking a moment to find out a little more about the plants I have been photographing. I hope to explore all aspects of plants, flowers, trees and other garden related topics. Sorry about having to watermark the photos but there are a lot of people using them without permission.

Wordless Wednesday - Saturday Edition
Wordless Wednesday - Saturday Edition Coral Bark Japanese Maple Acer palmatum 'Sango Kaku'
A truly spectacular photo of the mature leaf color Chris. What kind of lens are you using. I like the lighting and the shallow depth of field focus on this photo. Just when I think your pictures can't get any better - it does! You amaze me.
VL and Oswegan I think the maples were extra beautiful this year.
Hello Ki,
Thanks so much. I think this is the best picture I have taken all fall. I don't know if it was as windy down your way on Friday but I was extra happy to get this due to the conditions. I used the D70s with the 50mm/1.8 lens. I looked up the shooting data and it was 1/1250 sec, @ F/1.8. Exposure bias at -0.3. The 50mm is the best $119 I have ever spent on photography equipment.
This is a favorite shot, perfect for 'golden' November. We still have GREEN trees here also ... don't remember a fall like this where golden leaves sway, reluctant to say goodbye.
Hope future posts tell of your audition ... Good Luck!

Love the gold and peachy colors. All these maple leaf photos would make a great wall collage.
Ahh, beautiful maples. I love this one a lot.

Gorgeous colours just dangling there like that.
