Sadly, I didn't know what a dahlia looked like, but aren't they just gorgeous and elegant?

They are beautiful in both color and in black and white. Dahlias are one of my favorite flowers. At Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, I've been privileged to visit when their dahlias have been in full bloom, an incredible sight!

Very lovely side image of the dahlia. What a prettily sculpted flower nature has made.
