I have decided to join the blogging craze. I am looking forward to taking a moment to find out a little more about the plants I have been photographing. I hope to explore all aspects of plants, flowers, trees and other garden related topics. Sorry about having to watermark the photos but there are a lot of people using them without permission.

great picture! I also have a picture of bees from my hive, but I am having trouble figuring out the best way to take their pictures, they move an awful lot. Any suggestions? I would love to take a photo of one on a flower...
Robin this was shot with my new 24mm/1.8 Sigma Macro lens. It is in the EX line. I am so happy with it. A lot of my other shots are with my 60mm/2.8 Micro/Nikkor lens.

Beautiful, and so crisp! What lens are you using?
Thanks.

You're going to have to get a model release from this bee :-) Another great shot!
I haven't dropped by lately, but I wanted to say thanks for the gorgeous summer flowers! :)
I love coneflowers, they are so colorful. I tried so hard to get a good picture of a bumblebee the other day, but no luck. Great shot.
Another pretty shot! I love cone flowers and love it when there's a bug of some kind on it. :)
