Scarecrow in the Sky

Scarecrow
Skywatch Friday

These were taken at a local nursery. They had a scarecrow and a bat hung about 30 feet above the parking lot. The first shot was taken today minutes after the drizzly grey clouds lifted at about 10 am. The other shot was taken yesterday and it was more hazy and cloudy. I was calling it a skycrow but that didn’t really make sense.

These mums were growing together in a bushel basket. It really looked nice and I wish more growers would put two or three types together in one pot. I guess there is the danger that they wouldn’t bloom together but this one was working perfectly. The pink one is ‘Soft Cheryl’ and the orange one is ‘Jennifer’.

This is just another beautiful mum that I have spotted this fall season.

A Scarecrow in the sky. Pretty cool. I wonder if it keeps the birds away :0)

I was very interested when I saw the 2 first pics (beautiful, by the way), and then I saw this awesome blooming! Chrysanthemums! In Argentina we call them and write they're name directly "crisantemos". They're noble and full of life this time of the year.

The silhouettes are ominous, Digital! Wow. Perfect stuff. I think that bottom mum has captured all the sunshine missing from the sky that rainy morning!

I really like your flower photos. I have a few up you might like as well. And the tiny pumpkins are perfect. Very nice!

I'd say the scarecrow was scarycrow since the sky was getting gloomy, almost posing for a halloween shot!

Great photo shares, the sky photo is unusual, different, the blooms are gorgeous. I have enjoyed visiting your blog.

Poor old scarecrow all on his own in the middle of that huge sky...
at least he's sacrifice is not in vain as he makes for a nice picture.
Lovely Chrysanthemums, they really are the epitome of autumn flowers.

The mum photos are vibrant and beautiful. The spiders that I am growing (18) now have buds so I am hoping to have successful little season of color. Sadly, King's Mum's is closing and I will have to look elsewhere for plantlings next year.

Take care, Chris.
